Helplessness, Extinction, and Programming for Coping
Join Dee Hiatt as we take a look at learned helplessness, the risks of extinction, and how we should go about teaching coping skills. Our goal as a field must continually work toward well-being and independence for our students. We’ll discuss how we can pursue that goal through programmatically teaching coping and avoiding risky interventions.
